Holster 52

Holster 52 is a new venture from the Holster Projects Gallery based in London. They wanted to build an e-commerce website that they could run themselves and sell their limited edition prints through.

The design brief was to be very minimal and understated and to not overpower the pictures. The gallery features functions such as enlarged previews on rollover, a javascript basket so you can add products whilst staying on the same page.

Katherine Phillips, artist

Katherine Phillips is an artist based in London. Katherine needed a website that could act as her business card, allowing her to direct any interested parties to a site that could index and display all of her artwork. As a result the site needed to display a large amount of grpahic content in a series of galleries.

The foucs of this site was simplicity and speed. We wanted the galleries to be as quick loading as possible, whilst also providing Katherine with the ability to maintain her site herself and for it to not need a large amount of maintenance. The resulting site was turned around in under a fortnight, on a reasonably tight budget, and has fulfilled the brief as given. Do visit the site and enjoy her artwork – www.katherinephillips.co.uk

Holster Projects Art Gallery

The Holster Projects Art Gallery (www.holsterprojects.com) is a gallery based in West London that is aimed at young artists. The website has been through a couple  of incarnations and thus has required developing to accomodate various changes in requirements.

The initial site was a static site at the request of the client, however as the volume of data became unmanageable a second version of the site was developed to incorporate a content maganement system, photo galleries and a better system for browing content.
